May 16, 2024: The Phoenix Industrial Spec Building and the Wright & Wagner Lofts – Riverfront Building projects, located in Beloit, Wisconsin, both earned Top Project Honors from The Daily Reporter, showcasing CCI’s excellence in construction.
25th Annual Top Projects Awards Event
The Daily Reporter hosted its 25th annual Top Projects awards event at the Ingleside Hotel in Pewaukee, with over 450 business leaders in attendance. The event celebrated 50 of Wisconsin’s premiere construction projects of 2023. This program highlighted stories of the incredible builds and features the region’s leading construction, engineering, and architectural firms.

Phoenix Industrial Spec Building
The Phoenix Industrial Spec Building, completed in collaboration with Phoenix Investors and Zimmerman Architectural Studios, is a 500,000-square-foot industrial facility in Beloit’s Gateway Business Park. Overcoming significant challenges such as grade elevation differences and a FEMA flood plain, CCI employed innovative soil management for operational efficiency. The project, southern Wisconsin’s largest industrial building at the time, demonstrated CCI’s leadership, adaptability, and dedication to client-focused construction. Likewise, it also received a Projects of Distinction, Excellence in Construction award from the Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin.

Wright & Wagner Lofts – Riverfront Building
The Wright & Wagner luxury lofts in Beloit, Wisconsin, designed by JLA Architects and developed in collaboration with Hendricks Commercial Properties (HCP) and CCI, is a six-story, 108,240-square-foot building with 83 upscale units. CCI’s involvement from the inception ensured efficient construction, utilizing precast concrete for structural integrity and an industrial aesthetic. The project is noted for its proactive communication, innovative methods, and commitment to quality. Likewise, it also received a Projects of Distinction, Excellence in Construction award from the Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin.
