On May 7, 2025, at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Corporate Contractors Inc. (CCI) received recognition at The Daily Reporter’s Top Projects awards for their contributions to The Grain Mass Timber Development in Delafield, Wisconsin. This prestigious awards program highlights the most significant and innovative construction projects in the state.
The Grain stands out for its sustainable mass timber design, positive impacts on the community, and successful collaboration that brought this incredible endeavor to life. The judges praised the team for tackling construction challenges, noting the project’s significance and scale, as well as its use of innovative, environmentally friendly building materials.
Hendricks Commercial Properties developed The Grain, collaborating with Johnson Design for architecture and CCI as the construction partner. This project turned a previously unused lot into a lively, four-story mixed-use destination. It includes 60,000 square feet of office space and 18,000 square feet dedicated to retail and dining, representing Delafield’s first mass timber development.

“This project reflects what’s possible when visionary design meets sustainable building practices and strong teamwork,” said Homer Auge, President of CCI. “We’re incredibly proud of our role in delivering a space that benefits the community while pushing the boundaries of construction innovation.”
CCI thanks The Daily Reporter for the recognition and expresses gratitude to its partners and crew for their role in making The Grain a standout project across Wisconsin.
