CCI’s Women In Construction Honored In late August , The Daily Reporter h onored outstanding achievements by the top women in the construction industry. This event celebrated those who, by achieving success, have also paved the way for other women in construction. We are excited to share that two CCI associates, Controller Tonya Waldsmith and Creative Director Lesia Burzinski, were honored! Tonya Waldsmith “I enjoy seeing the various projects CCI has completed over the years,” Waldsmith said. “CCI started as a small company doing mostly remodels and now our projects include hotels, baseball stadiums, hospital renovations, office buildings, and college dorm remodels. Each project is unique, and I love how our associates rise to the challenge each one brings.” She has been a leader in the company, ensuring that its staff works with clients and subcontractors with care and respect. Brad Austin, CCI president, noted, “Tonya has continually met opportunities for growth in her career with an eager and optimistic attitude. She has led a team in CCI’s accounting department for several years and treats them with honesty, patience, and respect.” Lesia Burzinski After spending more than 25 years at CCI, Lesia has seen the company grow in many ways. But its commitments have remained constant, as is evident in its programs related to personal development, health, and dream building. “Each day brings a new opportunity for CCI associates to provide innovative construction solutions that contribute to our client’s success,” Burzinski said. “The relationships formed and creativity involved in building the CCI brand over the years has been fulfilling and I am truly grateful for the opportunity.” Austin states that Burzinski has been instrumental in leading marketing and sales endeavors, resulting in continued growth for CCI. “As a fan of out-of-the-box ideas, she often helps the company seek new opportunities or look at other ways of ‘building’ the business,” he said. Congratulations to Tonya and Lesia for being recognized for their accomplishments in the construction industry! First Pitch Thrown At ABC Supply Stadium After 13 months of enduring the extremes of Wisconsin weather, construction on th e ABC Supply Stadium, left, is now complete. The $37 million multi-use stadium— built by Corporate Contractors, Inc. (CCI) and our incredible build team—opened to the public on August 3rd for the Beloit Snappers home opener. The stadium is owned by the Riverbend Stadium Authority, and managed and operated by the Snappers Organization. Construction of the stadium—which generated 250 jobs for the community— includes a number of impressive features including a 360-degree open concourse, 40’ tall high-definition video board, concession areas, team store, and indoor and outdoor group party deck areas. The stadium is open seven days a week and is available for rent to host other community events, weddings, and meetings. CCI would like to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to everyone who was involved in the construction of this incredible community asset.
