Improvements at Siemens Plant Move Forward

iemens partners with Corporate Contractors Inc to construct an industrial wastewater treatment plant in Fort Madison, Iowa.

Beloit, WI, May 11, 2011 – Corporate Contractors, Inc. (CCI) announced they have been granted approval to construct a new $1.7 million industrial wastewater treatment facility for Siemens Energy, Inc. at their wind turbine blade plant in Fort Madison, Iowa. This is the third part of a multi-phased expansion at the plant that CCI began last fall.

The team, headed by Brad Austin as principal in charge and Terry Russell as account executive, is holding special meetings with Siemens, Poepping Stone, Bach and Associates – the design engineer, and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to assist in the design and pollution control guidelines. They expect the site work to begin in July.

“The company has outgrown the existing 50 year old wastewater treatment plant,” Russell explains. “The modern technology available for the new facility will greatly improve the overall treatment process to better meet Siemens’ needs.”

This new wastewater treatment facility is a critical component of the improvements necessary for Siemens to maximize its wind turbine blade production at the plant. A new holding pond, lift station, and a network of associated sewer connections will be included in the new treatment facility.
