CCI’s “Power of Us” Challenge

CCI associates were given a “Power of Us” challenge to demonstrate what they could accomplish as a team when working together toward a common goal. The directives were simple:

– Form a team of two or more CCI associates.

– Brainstorm an idea that would benefit the community and/or the company overall and create a plan.

– Submit the plan for review and implementation.

Challenge Accepted

Several CCI teams wasted no time coming together to create meaningful plans and are already completing community support initiatives. From a team-building ALS walk and hands-on construction clinics to home renovations for Acts Housing homebuyers, the Power of Us challenge is helping to cultivate positive changes for a greater purpose at CCI and within the community.

One team of associates brainstormed to form a CCI scholarship committee. Their goal was to create an annual scholarship program that would be fully funded by CCI associates and offered to those seeking to further their education within the construction industry. The idea was presented to all associates for their consideration and support and the response was overwhelming! Thanks to generous donations from CCI associates, the scholarship committee is able to award $5,000 in 2020 scholarships for those seeking construction industry-related education.

The “Power of Us” Scholarship

Eligibility: High School Seniors, Technical School or College Students, CCI Apprentices: Course of study must be within the construction industry.
